My experience with Greater Lowell GMC and Jacob and Jim our sales rep.has been great!!! My wife and I test drove a new Acadia and determined it was the vehicle we wanted. We discussed my trade value after very little negotiations we came up with a price we all agreed on. We told them we wanted to think about a little more and get back to them and left the dealership with absolutely no resistance whatsoever,this is an old school no pressure privately owned store. Life happened and we ended up not returning to the dealership for almost three weeks. When we arrived we were very happy to see the car we test drove was in the showroom. Jacob immediately asked us if we were ready to buy and we said yes today. After going back over the car we were buying I asked him if he was able to honor the deal we had previously made. After some discussion with his management team they decided to honor the deal we agreed on three weeks earlier. There is nothing like a privately owned and operated business and the owner is totally involved. I will never buy from a business conglomerate that everything is business

My experience was not a good one. I expected to use my GM Rewards points to pay for my oil change but instead was told you could only use them when buying a new vehicle. I know that to be not true because I’ve had emails from GM and you in Lowell listing what I could use my points for besides a new car. I spent more than 20 minutes plus the hour there before I was charged $30 instead of $90. Besides that as I was leaving and trying to get out the two doors with my walker the men behind the desk just stood there and gave me no help at all.

The dealership was good to work with on a matter that was out of their direct control. However having a brand new vehicle that had a transmission issue at 9400 miles was not expected and the part was on back order with no estimate of when the part would be in. I was without a vehicle for two weeks before the dealership was able to get me a rental, which was not equivalent to my truck. The dealership had my truck for almost 2 months before it was fixed. However when I made the complaint with GM directly and pointed out MA lemon law the following week the dealership calls and says my truck is fixed, even though there was never an answer when the part would be in. So I know question where the replacement part came from? I can say if I have one more issue with this truck I will be probably be done with GMC vehicles

I came from out of state, about 4 hours to get this vehicle because they had been the only ones who had it. They seem to have a lot of GMC vehicles with the extra's that a lot of other dealers didn't have. Kerry in the service department is a consummate professional. I was duped by GM into thinking that I had scheduled an actual appointment with the service dept for an oil change/tire rotation; but evidently the call center GM masks as the actual dealership makes appointments without telling anyone. Thanks for that GM. But I’m going to tell you that Kerry handled it with professionalism and aplomb. He was nice and just rolled with it. Explaining the situation to me, so that I understood why it was going to take a long time, but not giving me any attitude about it. I work in customer service, this is a skill. He’s fantastic. I will go back to Greater Lowell to see him. He made me feel like family.

My appointment was for Thursday 8/14 so the truck was dropped off. No calls were received after leaving messages looking for a status update (Thursday and Friday). I dropped in on Friday after work to learn that the truck had not yet been looked at. No loaners were available. I had to rent a car until the truck was completed on Thursday afternoon 8/21. Why make an appointment? The team there are nice and seem capable, but the scheduling leaves a lot to be desired.

First oil change/tire rotation since getting truck. Previously had mazda that was serviced across the street at the dealership. Every oil change would come with the car being vacuumed and doors and dash wiped down. The car would also be washed. Greater lowell GMC not doing any of that and just putting gmc paper ontop of the dirty ground seems so cheap. Being outperformed by Mazda was a shock to me.

My appointment was at 11:00 and I got there minutes before. Two and a half later my oil change was finished. Then I had to deal with Barclays to use my reward points. Barclays had no idea what they were doing and finally got a supervisor which took another hour before my visit to my dealer was completed.Chris from the service department was the only part of my visit that was positive.
