Sleek New Exterior
Let’s start by taking a look at the new body of the 2018 GMC Terrain. The body shape of the Terrain was refined to give it better aerodynamics and efficiency. The profile is slimmer and sharper with specific sculpted elements like the grille and the lights. This vehicle is both beautiful and functional. The 2018 Terrain will feature LED daytime running lamps with bi-functional HID headlamps standard on the SL, SLE and SLT.
There will also be a step up in the design on the all-new Terrain Denali. This vehicle will feature a signature satin chrome grille and signature accents like chrome roof rails, door handles, side mirror caps and body-side molding. The Denali will also feature body-color fascias and lower trim.
All-New Efficient, Yet Powerful Engine Options
Power is the name of the game with the new engine options in the 2018 Terrain. This vehicle will have three all-new turbocharged engines. Your engine choices include an all-new 1.6-liter turbo-diesel, a 1.5-liter turbocharged gas engine and 2.0-liter turbocharged gas engine.
The diesel engine will give you definite possibilities when it comes to performance, efficiency and capability. The gas engines are also both efficient and capable with the 2.0-liter engine giving you a stronger performance with better acceleration than the 1.5-liter.
To make your driving experience even better, the 2018 Terrain has a standard driver-controllable traction select system. This system will give you increased control in a wide variety of different driving conditions.
Completely Redesigned Interior
The interior of the 2018 Terrain was also redesigned to give you more storage and technology than ever before. The storage gets significantly increased with features like an expanded center console, a new fold-flat passenger seat and flat-folding rear seat. This vehicle also has new under-floor compartments in the cargo area. These design elements make it easier to load and stow items, and you also have increased security when you store items in the under-floor compartments.
On the technology side, the Terrain features a 7-inch-diagonal infotainment system, a standard OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot and compatible Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Also, every 2018 Terrain will now give you five years of the OnStar Basic Plan standard—which means no additional cost to you.
New Safety Tech Features
High-tech safety features are becoming the norm for new vehicles, and the Terrain is no different. The new 2018 model has even more high-tech safety options than before giving you features to help have your back.
New safety features on the 2018 GMC Terrain include New Surround Vision, New Forward Collision Alert with Following Distance Indicator, New Low-Speed Forward Automatic Braking, New Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning and New Safety Alert Seat. Other safety features include Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
